The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is the joint that connects your jaw to your skull, allowing you to open and close your mouth, chew, and speak. Dysfunction in the TMJ can often cause pain, stiffness, or difficulty chewing and speaking. Physiotherapy can help by assessing jaw movement, addressing muscle imbalances, reducing pain, and providing exercises and techniques to restore function and prevent further issues.
